Red hot: The Ferrari 812 Superfast will makes its debut at the 2017 Geneva show.
17/03/17 The Geneva motor show has been and gone for another year, thankfully retaining its reputation as an action-packed affair.
There was no shortage of European exotica as Ferrari rolled out its 812 Superfast flagship and Lamborghini claimed the 'Ring with the blistering Huracan Performante, while McLaren finally took the wraps off the bahn-storming 720S.
Audi featured heavily with its 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 RS5 Coupe and reinvigorated RS3 Sportback, as well as a near-production version of the forthcoming Q8 – this time in Sport concept guise.
Similarly, Porsche offered plenty of metal with the range-topping Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, upgraded 911 GT3 and first-gen Panamera Sport Turismo all breaking cover.
Volvo unveiled the next-gen XC60 mid-size SUV, which looks to follow the success of its XC90 big brother in the ever-popular prestige segment.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-AMG electrified fans with its 600kW GT Concept – a four-door version of its performance hero – which was powered by an electric motor and the venerable 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine.
More pedestrians offerings included the next-gen Subaru XV, refreshed Nissan Qashqai, updated Infiniti Q50 and facelifted Renault Captur.
All-new models that debuted also extended to Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Alpine A110, Range Rover Velar, and Volkswagen Arteon.
08/03/2017 The 2017 Geneva motor show is underway with a number of exciting vehicles making their debut in past 24 hours.
The latest reveals range from the expected – McLaren 720S, LS500h, Subaru XV, Volkswagen Arteon – to the truly conceptual – Toyota i-TRIL, Volkswagen Sedric, Hyundai FE Fuel Cell.

02/03/2017 The Geneva motor show is less than a week away, and plenty of the cars scheduled to make their public debut have already been revealed.
The Range Rover Velar will fill the gap between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport, promising a level of opulence and comfort that will see it compete against its mechanical cousin, the Jaguar F-Pace.
Meanwhile, Renault's performance sister brand Alpine will mark its return with the arrival of the featherweight AS110 sportscar after a drawn-out process of concepts and teasers over the past five years.
McLaren will end the drip-feed of information for its second-generation Super Series model when it is shown publicly for the first time. It is expected to be named 720S, which suggests the new supercar is sure to pack a punch.
Volvo will be hoping that its all-new XC60 follows the success of the XC90 when the mid-size SUV is unveiled.
The Civic Type R will also finally be revealed in its production form. Honda's hot hatch will return to Australian shores later this year after the previous-generation model was not sold locally.
Ferrari's latest flagship V12 says it all in its name, Superfast. 588kW from its larger capacity 6.5-litre atmo powerplant sees the 812 sprint from zero to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds. Yep.
However, all Aussie eyes will be on Opel as it debuts the next-generation Insignia, or, as it will be known over here, the imported Holden Commodore.
