The tenth generation of Mercedes' E-Class luxury sedan arrived in mid 2016 in the more affordable E200, E220d and E350d variants, bringing an all-new version that showcased a plethora of driving assistance features and a continuation of the model's class-leading safety features.
A significant price increase accompanied the new range but was offset by the inclusion of generous standard equipment levels even in the entry-level car, such as the expansive 24.6-inch widescreen display.
The E220d was the first model to introduce Mercedes' new OM 654 2.0-litre diesel engine to Australia, which broke new ground in efficiency and emissions standards.
