More than just a body kit, the R-Design has a stiffer chassis, improved damping properties and quicker steering response for a sportier driving experience. Nevertheless, Volvo says the XC60’s ride comfort has not been compromised. The visual titivations include a ‘silk metal’ finish for a redesigned grille, fog light housings and door mirror casings, specially styled 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, chrome sills and exhaust pipes and an increased amount of body coloured trim, but no ride-height changes. New metallic trim finishes abound inside, along with blue gauges, an R-Design steering wheel and perforated leather seat trim in a fresh two-tone design. According to Lennart Stegland, president of Volvo special vehicles, the R-Design “… boosts the XC60's already sporty aura and gives the car an even more refined character in terms of both driving experience and design”. "R-Design has been a great success for Volvo Cars,” he said. “This sporty, exclusive sales version has helped us attract new customer groups who would perhaps not otherwise have chosen Volvo.” Read more:XC60 to see Volvo through tough timesFirst drive: Life begins at XC60 All future modelsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chery Brabham Chrysler Chevrolet Cupra Citroen DS Dodge Fiat Ferrari Foton Ford Great Wall FPV Haval GWM Honda Holden Hummer HSV Infiniti Hyundai Jaguar Isuzu Kia Jeep Land Rover Lamborghini Lexus LDV Mahindra Lotus Mazda Maserati Mercedes-AMG McLaren MG Mercedes-Benz Mitsubishi Mini Opel Nissan Peugeot Pagani Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen XC60 pricing
