Future models - RenaultRenault goes back to natureItalian design museum to host premiere of mysterious new Renault concept19 Mar 2013 Renault has announced it will reveal its latest concept car at the Triennale of Milano next month. The announcement accompanies the release of some rather obscure and striking teaser shots of features due to go on show at the renowned Milanese design museum. The sequence of distinctive blue and yellow images accompanying the short-and-sweet release give little away. Imagine The Abyss meets Avatar and you’re half way there. A spate of recent Renault concepts have drawn inspiration from abstract concepts such as ‘love at first sight’(the 2010 DeZir coupe), ‘discovering the world’ (2011 Captur) and ‘establishment of family’ (R-Space). It is unclear if the mystery concept announced this week will continue this theme, for instance by taking inspiration from conception or perhaps even birth. Details are scarce, but Renault has stated that the design examines nature and its “energy transactions”, in order “to bring awareness and understanding of those phenomena and their current impact. More details and images are expected to follow the concept unveil on April the 8th.
