Honda to release new-look Accord Euro in early 2006 - without Europe's tech upgrades28 Nov 2005 HONDA Australia will release a mildly revised Accord Euro sedan in Australia during December. Visual changes include revisions to the front and rear bumper, grille, headlights, bonnet and tail-lights, as well as redesigned alloy wheels. There are minor alterations to the dash, instrumentation, cabin trim and colour palette, while driver’s seat-position memory, MP3 audio compatibility and a "Multi-Information Display" trip computer round out the major changes. In addition, the 2006 Luxury variant gains an automatic day-night interior mirror and the availability of factory-fitted DVD-based satellite-navigation. The 140kW/223Nm 2.4-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine will continue. "We have freshened up the top-selling Euro," said Honda Australia director Lindsay Smalley. "The car that was judged by Australia’s Best Cars as the Best Mid-Size car over $28,000 is now even better value. "The addition of satellite navigation really puts it in a class of its own." Australian Accord Euros will not be fitted with European models' "head-up" instrumentation (that displays speed, fuel and other information on the windscreen), voice-recognition satellite-navigation and lane-stray warning device. Pricing remains unchanged, while satellite-navigation will be a $3000 option on Luxury variants. 2006 Honda Accord Euro sedan pricing:Euro sedan - $33,500Euro sedan (a) - $35,500 Euro Luxury sedan - $40,500 Euro Luxury sedan (a) - $42,500 All future models![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Motor industry news |
