Future models - Citroen - Cruise CrosserFirst look: Citroen Crosser cruises inCitroen causes a stir in Geneva with six-wheel Cruise Crosser concept vehicle14 Mar 2007 By TERRY MARTIN CITROEN took the covers off its all-new C-Crosser in Geneva last week, although the biggest sensation on its show stand was the six-wheel ute version. Dubbed the Cruise Crosser, the 4x4 dual-cab concept is based on the C-Crosser and features a third axle to give it traction “in the harshest possible conditions, come snow, sand or mud”. Power comes from a diesel-electric hybrid engine, which can drive all three axles or the rearmost axle alone in a “zero emission” mode. The red compasses etched on the orange paintwork underline its go-anywhere intent, while the tray can be converted into seating for extra passengers (with a removable third row) and step plates are located on either side of the vehicle to facilitate access.
