Powered by a thumping 410kW/745Nm 6.2-litre supercharged V8, the unmodified V-spec CTS reportedly completed the lap in 7:59.32. Cadillac’s director of vehicle integration John Heinricy piloted the high-performance sedan as part of its final stages of development. Restricted to left-hand drive production for the foreseeable future, the CTS-V will not be arriving as part of Cadillac’s relaunch in Australia, which commences in the fourth quarter with the CTS in 227kW/370Nm 3.6-litre V6 guise. A 250kW/550Nm 2.9-litre V6 turbo-diesel variant will be available soon after.
