Future models - Alfa RomeoAlfa Romeo Tributo Italiano special seriesGuilia, Stelvio and Tonale models now offered with Tributo Italiano exclusive treatment17 Nov 2023 By MATT BROGAN ALFA ROMEO has this week detailed the first of a global special series available across its model line-up, the range-topping Tributo Italiano treatment paying tribute to the brand’s origins, sportiness, and “Italian know-how”.
Now available to order, Alfa Romeo Australia is yet to provide pricing detail of the special series, which is offered across Guilia, Stelvio and Tonale models.
The Tributo Italiano package includes two-tone livery with black roof, colour-coded body kit, Italian flag mirror caps and “refined interior customisations”. Models will be offered only in the paint colours of the Italian flag: Verde Montreal (green), Bianco Alfa (white) and Rosso Alfa (red).
Accompanying the stylish look is a unique V insert for the front grille – finished in black on Guilia and Stelvio and Dark Miron on Tonale – alloy wheels in 19, 20 and 21-inch diameters, red-finished Brembo brake callipers, and painted lower body trim, front and rear bumper inserts, wheel arches and side skirts.
Further, the Tonale receives Dark Miron front and rear skid plates, full LED matrix headlights and chrome-finished tailpipes.
Inside, each of the three Tributo Italiano models receive black leather sports seats with “hints of red” in the perforations, and an embroidered logo in the head restraints.
Red stitching is found across the dashboard, seats, and door cards, while a carbon-fibre dashboard fascia with Alfa Romeo logo, ambient LED lighting and aluminium sill covers are also fitted.
Tributo Italian special models receive dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles, heated and ventilated front seats, a 14-speaker harman/kardon premium sound system and on SUV models, a handsfree electric tailgate.
Engine options remain familiar to those already offered across the respective line-ups.
Locally, the Alfa Romeo Guilia (from $68,450 - $166,700 plus on-road costs), Stelvio (from $76,450 - $175,200 +ORC) and Tonale (from $49,900 - $77,500) continue to be available with a choice of petrol, petrol-electric hybrid and plug-in hybrid drivelines, depending on model.
Year-to-date sales figures show the Alfa Romeo Giulia has sold just 157 examples within the Medium over $60K segment, falling well short of rivals including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2408 units) and BMW 3 Series (2666 units).
The new-to-market Tonale – which competes within the SUV Small over $45K segment – has sold 269 units thus far, leaving ample opportunity for it to catch the Audi Q3 (3831 units), BMW X1 (3511 units), and Volvo XC40 (4892 units).
It is a similar story for the mid-sized Stelvio SUV, which has sold just 136 units to the end of October.
Competing in the SUV Medium over $60K segment, sales of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio fall well short of rivals including the Audi Q5 (3521 units), BMW X3 (3442 units), Lexus NX (5708 units), Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class SUV (2900 units) and Porsche Macan (2576 units).
