Road TestCar reviews - Volvo - XC60 - D5 5-dr wagonVolvo modelsOverviewA new diesel engine gives Volvo's XC60 a performance lift3 Dec 2009 ONE turbo good, two turbos better – that is the theory behind the new D5 diesel available in the XC60 SUV. The previous generation D5 diesel had a single turbocharger, but the new D5 is a twin turbo unit producing 151kW. Its 420Nm of torque, available from just 1500rpm, is especially handy for larger vehicles such as the XC60. While the engine has been upgraded, the rest of the XC60 remains the same.
