Road TestCar reviews - Volvo - S60 - AWD sedanVolvo modelsOverviewVolvo gives its mid-sized S60 sedan the all-wheel drive treatment12 Aug 2003 ALL-WHEEL drive is slowly but thankfully finding its way through into regular road-going sedan cars. The S60 AWD is the first all-paw, four-door Volvo and could herald a coming generation of all-season drivers’ cars from the Swedish manufacturer. A surprise is the invisibility of the system if it weren’t for the small badge on the boot, you’d hardly know it’s mechanically any different from a standard front-drive S60. A quick drive on a greasy road will dispel those impressions. Otherwise, the AWD S60 has all the normal Volvo attributes: High safety levels, a cozy interior with excellent seats and a not-quite-happy ride-handling compromise.
