Super TestCar reviews - Toyota - Echo - 5-dr hatchToyota modelsResearch Toyota Seats1 Feb 2001 THE driving position is tall and upright to enhance vision, with the seat hip point 580mm above the ground - taller than many of the car's rivals - to minimise bending when entering or leaving the vehicle. Front seats and rear outboard seat positions have adjustable head restraints, while the front seats were designed to create the optimum angle of hip and knee joints for long periods on the road, helping reduce fatigue. All models have tri-tone interior colours with Jacquard cloth seat trim. "Quality" moulded headlining, moulded door trim with cloth inserts and needle-punch carpet are standard across the range. The front seats tilt and slide for access to the rear bench seat, however they do no have a memory function for the backrest return position. Driver's seat height adjustment is included in a Power Pack option for the sedan.
