Road TestCar reviews - Subaru - Impreza - WRX 5-dr hatchSubaru modelsThe Car21 Feb 2002 By TERRY MARTIN THE hatchback variant of the Impreza WRX has always been the poor sales relation of the sedan, which in the old generation evolved into quite a wild looking machine with its surfboard rear wing. However, in the new generation the milder hatch actually is the better looking vehicle with its much more homogenous style. It even has hints of that new automotive fad, the cross-over vehicle thanks to its five-door design and all-wheel drive. The hatch seats five, the front passengers in sports seats, headrests and lap-sash seatbelts are standard all-round and there's a 60/40 split-folding rear seat to improve luggage space. Did you know? The hatchback makes up a little over 20 per cent of total WRX salesAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
