Super TestCar reviews - Subaru - Forester - GT 5-dr wagonSubaru modelsClimate Control24 Aug 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE heating and ventilation system is quite basic and, like the audio system, easy to use. Large, rotary dials operate the temperature and direction of air to the outlets, while there are slide controls for the four-speed fan and air recirculation. Air-conditioning is manually operated, as climate control is not available on any of the Forester models. Four dashboard vents direct air onto the face of front seat occupants, while ducts under the front seats direct air to the rear seat passengers. Vents for demisting the front door windows are located on either side of the dashboard.
