Super TestCar reviews - Mitsubishi - Magna - Executive 5-dr wagonMitsubishi modelsResearch Mitsubishi Used Rivals20 Jun 2003 MAZDA 626 4D WAGON (1988-1997) THE Mazda's premium new price meant it would never be a volume seller but it did fill a niche for buyers wanting a high quality, comfortably equipped, mid-sized wagon. The 2.2-litre four produced enough power (84kW) to give the 626 the edge in performance over the Magna. FORD EBII/ED FALCON 4D WAGON (1992-1994) IF cargo and passenger space are important, the Falcon wagon's overall size and raised roof line make it the one to have. The 4.0-litre six has the most power of this group which gives the Falcon effortless highway performance and good towing ability. The GLi equipment level is minimal but includes power steering. TOYOTA CAMRY 4D WAGON (1993-1998) THE unusual rear end styling of the wide body wagon may not appeal to some buyers but otherwise the Camry is a competent, high quality car. Its interior space almost matches the Magna. The 2.2-litre, twin cam engine develops 95kW which gives the Camry competitive performance and fuel economy. SUBARU LIBERTY 4D WAGON (1989-1994) THE front-wheel drive Liberty wagon has built a reputation for practical and reliable transport. Subaru's 2.2-litre, flat-four engine is flexible and economical with a competitive power output of 100kW. The high roof styling makes for good interior space.
