Road TestCar reviews - Lexus - GS - FLexus modelsOverviewAddressing one major issue with the updated GS F leads to a hugely improved Lexus4 Apr 2017 LEXUS has twice had sports sedans called into question over the past decade, and the GS F marks the second time the company has quickly aimed to address initial concerns. In 2008 the original IS F was a bit dull, but soon became an excellent sub-BMW M3 offering. Since then Lexus blitzed expectations with the LFA supercar, the IS F segued into the RC F coupe, while in 2016 it handed the GS F the sports sedan baton. It teams a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine and eight-speed automatic, and for the most part proved an impressive contender. Its greatest flaw, however, was its Sachs fixed-rate damping that proved overly abrupt by sports sedan standards, but downright harsh by Lexus expectations. Just as the original IS F aimed to improve, however, the GS F now adds two-mode adaptive suspension as standard. At least the brand has clearly again attempted to make good on its ‘pursuit of perfection’ tagline. Click here for the full review...
