Road TestCar reviews - Infiniti - Q50 - 2.2de S PremiumInfiniti modelsOverviewInfiniti’s Q50 diesel has some illustrious competition, but some strong attributes23 May 2014 THIS is the model that Infiniti hopes will kick-start sales after a slow return in 2013, and with decent standard equipment and pricing as sharp as its looks, the Q50 recipe might just work. An entry-level 2.0-litre turbo-petrol variant will broaden the range later this year, but until then prices start at $51,900 for the entry level diesel and top-out at $73,900 for a flagship hybrid. Sitting in the middle of the range is the $61,900 2.2d S Premium, which has almost all of the equipment of the most expensive Hybrid S Premium combined with a gutsy and frugal Mercedes-sourced engine. Infiniti has Lexus firmly in its sights with the all new Q50 range but early signs look like the package is attractive enough to take on some of the big-hitters from Europe too. Nonetheless, this relative newcomer still has a fight on its hands to win recognition and earn sales. Click here for the full review...
