The rise of SUVs and small cars, a lack of vision, poor marketing, lacklustre sales, high cost of production… all sound and valid reasons for ending the party. Once the only cars bought in any quantity in Australia, the large rear-drive sedan has fallen out of favour … but if Holden has anything to do with it, that road will be covered in thick black lines of tortured rubber. The VF Series II updates are, in the scheme of things, mild at best… except for one. A big one, too, with eight cylinders, more than three hundred kilowatts and enough torque to realign the moon. It’s this change that may well have resulted in the finest, fastest, fittest Commodore in 36 years. Click here for the full review...
