Trying to pry buyers away from establish players such as Toyota – as well as the likes of Nissan, Ford, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Holden – is a tough task at the best of times, but at prices of up to $35,000, you can't help but feel that Foton importer FAA Automotive has its work cut out. The Tunland has good cabin space, a large loading area and a solid – if unrefined – Cummins diesel engine, but some quality issues and a general lack of polish took away most of the shine.
