The 530i Sport brakes measure 325 x 22mm up front and 298 x 20mm at the rear. The Bosch ABS 5 system uses three channels and four sensors. Braking performance is supported by electronic traction control systems, including ASC+T (automatic skid control and traction). Standard across the 5 Series, ASC+T intervenes via the brakes at speeds of up to 40km/h and via the engine at higher speeds.
