Super TestCar reviews - Audi - A6 - S6 sedanAudi modelsSecurity3 Aug 2001 THE S6 is well protected with a sophisticated rolling-code immobiliser and an alarm fitted standard. The alarm monitors the engine compartment, boot, doors, sunroof, sat-nav/stereo system, ignition and the interior. There's no two-stage unlock feature on the remote keypad, though it does include sunroof lock/unlock and a boot release. It also prompts the interior lights to go on, which have a timed delay/fade. In addition to overhead lamps and maplights front and rear, lights are provided in all footwells and the luggage compartment. Once inside, the driver can lock all via a switch located on his/her door. Each section of the 60/40 split-fold rear bench can be locked to prevent unauthorised access to/from the boot.
