Super TestCar reviews - Alfa Romeo - 147 - 5-dr hatchAlfa Romeo modelsControls30 Oct 2001 THE 147 driver is well catered for with a supportive bucket seat that has height and lumbar adjustment and a steering column that adjusts for both reach and height. This column is also home to a large amount of switchgear - two left-hand stalks take on functions for cruise control, headlights, high beam and indicators, while a right-hand wand manages the front and rear wipers. The dash fascia contains switches for central door lock, tailgate release, hazard lights, front and rear foglights and the usual HVAC and stereo controls. DSC can be switched off via a button on the centre console, headlight angle can be adjusted via a button on the dash and front and rear windows (all with auto-down and the rear with a lock function) are operated via switches on the driver's door. The steering wheel has buttons controlling the stereo - and gear selection when the Selespeed transmission is specified.
